Launcher wont update?

I was trying to play starmade with my friend and i joined his server and it said the launcher was outdated so i updated and it went to v0.0 and i tried updating it again andn it keeps staying at 0.0. anyone know how to fix this?

P.S. i am using windows 8

I\'m having the same problem, except I\'m using W7.

The exact same thing is happening to me and I am also using windows 7
