LAN Server?

Hello,

I need help in creating a LAN server for me and my brother to play on. I am running windows 7 Ultimate and he is Running Windows 8. I can't figure it out, I need a full tutorial not just snippets of what to do. If you know of a video tutorial please link it down below.

Google and download Hamachi. Install it. Then run a dedicated server. Have your brother join your Hamachi and have him type in the number next to your name in Hamachi (It should start with 25.XX.XX.XX.) Then, when he types it in, have him add the :4242 at the end of it. He should be able to connect.

You dont need all that stuff sionade, as hamachi is only if people will connect from wan, not lan.

All you need to do is startup your server using this tutorial

Then go to start, search for run and type in CMD. Once the black window is open, type in ipconfig.

Theres gonna be an ip starting with either 10.0.0.xx or 192.168.xx.xx

Once you have that, disable your windows firewall, and go to your brothers PC. Type in the following to the multiplayer ip field.

xx.xx.xx.xx:4242

Then it should connect just fine, else let me know on steam ID \"ikkel45\"
