Hello and welcome to an idea that came from the wonder of SMD chat: Jousting
The aim of the game is to reach 5 points, so once one player reaches 5 points the game ends and they have won. This means however that the game can last any amount of rounds, and at the end of each round the player is aloud to spawn in another of their ships to continue with the joust.
Each player will have a light and a rail dock to score points. If you destroy the light, that is 1 point. If you destroy the dock, that is 5 points.
Now for the rules:
The shield must have a light block on its forward face.
The rail dock must be 1m behind the shield, but not be completely obscured by the shield.
The rail dock must be at least 1 block away from the main body.
The lance must not extend further than 5m from the forward edge of the shield.
You can have up to 3 warheads on the lance.
Ships/mechs must be between 30 and 40 mass.
Up to 5 push modules to be used for propulsion.
Up to 5 pull modules to be used for braking.
To better explain the rules of construction, here is an example picture of a shield, lance and rail docker:
The lance and shield can be either side of the rail docker.
The tournaments will most likely be happening on NFDB.
An arena for such a sport should be at least 200m long for both Jousters to reach a decent speed for the joust, and at least 50m wide to allow for both of them to pass.
