The problem I'm posting is noticeable each time I update an installation folder.
Background: I really wanted to see the new recipes, so I started using the launcher to manage a multi-installation setup.
The launcher/updater appears bugged. When it finishes updating I am left with the new updated installation inside the "dot" folder. I assume this "dot" folder (the folder the launcher created by naming it after the target installation with a "." appended to it), is meant to be the backup folder. When the launcher runs the game it does so from the non-dot folder. However it seems to read the dot folder when it checks the version number.
The fix each time is to swap the names of the two folders. After swapping the names, the launcher will display that there's a newer version available, but clicking the "Start Game" button puts me into the newest version.
As a side note: where is this "world manager" supposed to be? I don't see that button anywhere....
