Is there any way to "un" associate my account with my registry account?

So I made this account on this site a while ago, with a username I don't like. So I made a new account on the registry, and now it's associating this account with the username I don't like, with my new account on the registry.

Is there any way to "un" associate your accounts?

If the only undesired aspect of your SMD account is the name, it should be possible to ask about having the name changed to one you do.
