Is there any way to rotate a ship in build mode?

Well, first off I'll say that I am fairly new to Starmade. I played it like a year or two ago, but a lot has changed since then, so it's basically all new to me :P.

Anyways, I'm building my first "large" ship (which is still really small compared to a lot of things I've seen veteran players build haha), and I'm nearly done with it. However I have a tiny little problem... I built it backwards .

So I was wondering, Is there any way to rotate it around the other way without having to rebuild the whole thing again? Or at least some way to copy the blocks, rotate them, and then paste them? Sorry if its a noob question, but... I'm a noob :P.

You might be able to by using copy/paste... Copy the whole ship, delete it all, paste, rotate, place it back the right way. There might be another way with SMEdit, but I don't use that program much, so IDK.

what Mariux said. your best option is to do a massive copy/paste. You can change the advanced build size by editing the server config file in your Starmade folder.

And to also give and answer, I think in the future, we might be able to move cores. It's something so simple to miss. The little green arrow is so small and you build you mega ship half way through and THEN you realise...Ohhh shit, I built it the wrong way!

Small to us maybe, but the blocks locations are relative to the core, so moving the core would actually mean moving all of the blocks on the ship, and we all know how well starmade handles anything more than placing a 10x10x10 cube.

There were talks a while ago to disconnect the core from being the center of the ship, meaning it wouldnt be moving every other block, and instead just moving the core. As far as I know this is still planned, along with the ships center of mass (and therefore the marker) being calculated by blocks, as opposed to the first block spawned (currently the core)

Just to clarify, Smedit does not currently allow the alteration of blueprints. It can only create them.
