Is there a way to turn off chat on the page?

I've attempted to disable all notifications and exit the rooms, but it keeps putting me in chat channels and activating the sound. I don't look at it and would rather just COMPLETELY disable (not just hide) it if possible. Does anyone have a way besides my next task of blocking the www.arrowpushengine.com domain it uses?

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the button on the very bottom right hand side will do this.

The hide button seems to have resolved a resource issue I was having which appears to be caused by the chat. As someone suggested, it may actually disable rather than hide.

Blocking it is the only way I know of.
