is there a way to change an NPC faction's public status?

As title says- is there an admin command that allows setting a factions public property?

since the GUI update ive noticed my custom NPC factions are all now public, meaning any player can join them

Make an admin alt for each one, promote him to leader via command, and uncheck the public faction check box.
