    Basically you could set the filter to remove ALL block types, except 1. So a player might choose NOT to remove rail turret axis, but to remove all other block types. Or perhaps it could be expanded further, and allow players to select multiple block types not to remove, ie, all rail types. Perhaps a person could select more than 1 type of block and add them individually, or could add a group of block types. For example, maybe someone would add "weapons" to remove all weapon computers and modules, leaving the rest of the ship intact.

    Yes! You did it!

    Maybe add the function to have several remove/replace functions, as in you could replace cannon computers with missile computers, cannon modules with missile modules, explosive computer with ion computers, and explosive modules with ion modules. Like having up to 4-5 different blocks it would replace.

    I can see this being useful for when someone refits their ship for example.

    If implemented with remove categories, I can see this being very useful.

    A good idea. I am hoping that build mode does not become too cluttered with specific commands. Eventually we will hit a limit.
