Initial weapons fire only once in a battle.

Their reload resets if you get below 80-90% shield or have more than 10-20% power usage.

They are meant for hit and run or to disable some vital enemy systems. not to core-drill with high dps.

Last-resort weapons are very expensive and much stronger than normal. If you use them, you lose some investment, so only use them if you have no other choice.

Having such a weapon could save you from more fearsome Pirates

Inventar scanner blocks or just with code magic - it doesn't matter. but it would be good if players can either see it too or RP with trying to convince an enemy to retreat with what he got (but that would require a combat to last longer than 10 seconds for shields and another 10 seconds to core-drill)

They activate automagically on death -or if your vital systems suffer heavy damage- against the ship which dealth most damage to you in the last 10 seconds.

I don't ask explicitely for new blocks, but will these two types of weapons play a role in the master-slave system?

Especially inital weapons would buff small ship fleets a lot in hit&run strikes, while last-resort weapons may save them from backlashes (if it is visible) in grown battles, if the enemy know that they only get used if he attacks them.

Maybe inital weapons require you to activate them, which reduces your thrust and shields until you deactivate them.

Last resort weapons should be something you use that damages around 60% of your ship and cripples you but has an 80% chance of 1-hitting a ship around your mass. They would have to be fired manually. I\'d hate to have every ship I fight explode with a 10-megaton yeild after I kill it.

Maybe AMCs (or other master-slave weapons) require you to activate them.

How about: it costs so much of money, that you can\'t make cost fighting PvE with it all the time.

Pirates which attack you attack you only if you annoy them enough or your ship is worthwile enough (compared of the cost of their fleet) to get attacked.

Last-resort weaponry \"decreases\" your ships value from a pirate\'s viewpoint (they can never claim it without letting you use it - on them!), so you will fight weaker pirates (or none if you have such weaponry excessively).
