So I am trying to make an elevator in my hangar. Currently, I have to do one of 2 things. 1: have a shootout rail on my hangar then have a catch on my elevator, which leads to weird glitches like the ship vanishing. The other one is having logic to undock the ship and then have a pickup point on the elevator which catches the ship, but that also causes the bug I mentioned above.
My suggestion is as follows: If you have a rail that is adjacent to a rail on a docked entity, entities can travel across all the rails as if they were on the same ship. This would prevent those weird bugs I'm getting.
This image illustrates my idea. The rails adjacent to the red lights are on ship 1. THe rails adjacent to the white lights are docked to the main ship.
