Ok so I have noticed that while adding more thrusters improves acleration it doesn't change your turning rate (which becomes slower the more blocks you have). in the real world thrusters can be controlled independently (when needed) and as such having a couple of nacells not only would improve acleration but also help with turning speed. so maybe in a future update have it so that engines farther out from the ship center improve turning on that plane.

for example, if I have port and starbord nacells my ship can turn port and starbord faster, in addition to the acleration boost that having more thrusters gives. and the more thrusters I have the faster I turn and the farther from center they are the faster they turn (as they would give more rotational acleration). it is basic physics.

just a thought, it will improve design as the whole single engine stack will have a disadvantage, it will improve agility of larger crafts, and it will be physicly acurate.

    Thanks

I had a similar idea about designated \"turning Thrusters\" that could be placed on your ship as a sideways engine to give you a horisontal boost.

And dont get me started on basic physics.. those \"Space Brakes\" that are in game are just so wrong on so many levels, where did all the forward energy go?!?!?!

You DO use power when using your brakes, therefore it is simple enough to assume that braking is merely firing your engines to counteract your forward momentum. Anyways, this IS a feature that would be quite welcome; however, it would be something that is also rather difficult to program.
