I can't get the Cockpit to work when i put it in my ship

Everytime i try to use a cockpit it does not work at all. I've tried to get my friend to help me and he doesnt know why it isnt working. Can someone help me?

Umm... Only reason I know it wouldn\'t be \"working\" was if you weren\'t using the arrow keys to switch to it. Are you using the arrow keys?

If you use them and it still doesn\'t switch, I\'d suggest sending a bug report.

Edit: Sorry if that sounds mean, but that\'s seriously the only reason I know they wouldn\'t be working.
