How to ZOOM IN

Hi this may be a super noob question, but how do i zoom in while aiming my superheavy 40x40 laser cannon to hit that enemy ship that is 3km away accurately?

I've searched forum and google with no results...

You cant zoom in.

The only thing that has this feature is the sniper "rifle" that you can buy as an astronaut weapon from an advanced shop.

the oply real way to "zoom" in is to build a camera all the way in front of your ship and switch to it. Its not practical but it works.

Provided you haven't changed it to the limit already, you can adjust your field of view in the in-game settings dialog. Not a quick, spur-of-the-moment way of zooming, but zooming nonetheless.

I made some suggestions about in-flight display window, where you could see targeted ship more closer. The size should be adjustable in settings. But unfortunatelly there is no way how to zoom or observe enemy ship.

Pilot combat is lacking a number of features, hopefully we will see it implimented in the future or modded in.
