How to install Dev build

I've tried to install a Dev build by extracting, then running it, and by pasting it over an existing build but neither work! Help please!

And make another folder inside that called \"Starmade\", put everything from the devbuild zip in there.

Now place a copy of the starmade launcher in that first folder next to the Starmade folder you just created and launch that launcher to start the devbuild.
