how does the member system work?

Ok, so this thread was up before the reset but obviously was deleted due to the reset. I got some responses last time, so I figured I'd go over whats already been said and re-ask some questions.
Q: how does the member system work?
A: goes by likes and possibly amount of posts.

Q: how do higher ups get cool ranks?
A: they make their own cause they are the ppl in charge.

Now new question: how many likes/ posts per rank? I don't like being called "new"
HEY! here's an idea! we could level up our member status like leveling up in videogames!

1.) It goes by points which you get from trophies http://starmadedock.net/help/trophies
New Member - is the default rank
Member - requires 5 points
Active Member - requires 25 points
Well-Known Member - requires 45 points

More trophies are coming in the future after we finish the chat and all other important forum features. New user titles will also be made, the current ones are just place holders for now.

2.) Custom user ranks are only given to forum staff members and Schine team members.

100 Likes, it seems. 100 positive ratings alone will not get that trophy, currently.

I did not know about the 'Well-Known member' title, I thought it only went up to 'ancient member'. Looks like I have a new target! Better get my personality on! Or try and attempt to build a half-decent ship.

Also, a really, really old forum I used to browse years ago used to have proper titles, for example if you were often agreed on (Using u as an example Lecic ) you'd be Lecic the Agreeable. Mods had special titles like Schema the Invincible or DukeofRealms the Unfettered. Make you feel like a Viking.
