How do "offensive points" work?

    I've first posted this on the Steam forum, and was told to repost it here to get more/better answers-

    I made a simple "turret design", and created 4 different turrets with it. They are the same, except for the armour colour, and the type of the main and slave weapon systems (both always have 62 modules each, that is 100% slave). But each variant has a totally different value for "offensive points". I do not really know what to think of that. I was told to give the weapon systems stats, to make sense of those "offensive points".

    1) "Sniper" : 1,554,788 offensive points (strongest)

    How can the "Sniper" turret be 85 times more "offensive" then them "Missile Spam" turret? Should I only use Sniper turrets then?!? I would have expected that different turrets with the same design and same amount of weapon modules would be quite similar in "offensive power", maybe at worst twice as good/bad as a different design.

    The current point system is not accurate due to balancing and tweaking just ignore it for now.

    Offensive points are based on how edgy you built your ship, if it can trigger people, and whether or not you gave it a fedora and a neck-beard.

    Well can you imagine anything more offensive than the jackass that just keeps yelling "BOOM! HEADSHOT!" from the other side of the map? Hate that guy...

    Gets even funnier when they hit their mark each time. :P Love watching people rage in chat or over headsets because of that.

    For the time being, until the values are fixed, I'm just thinking of it as a measure of how offended I should be by that ship.
