How do I play dev builds?

As the title suggests, how do I play dev builds? I've never touched them before. I would always wait until the official update, but I really want to get my hands on the new content.

You follow the link on the news page, then once it\'s downloaded, replace everything in your StarMade folder (after backing it up) and run the game normally.
