I started building a ship that had a white outer hull, and I found that even without bloom it was a bit hard for me to see my crosshair, so I decided to go make my own.
It is smaller, less intrusive and gives enough contrast to always be able to see it.
It is a nice balance for myself, but I can make it higher/lower contrast if needed.

It goes into "StarMade/data/image-resource" and overrides the default crosshair. You may want to save the default crosshair to another place if you wish to go back to it.
