Help with Anti Matter Cannon behavior

How does the game determine which array the laser will shoot from in a group? Im trying to get the laser to shoot from my longest array. How do I accomplish this?

By default it chooses the top/port/forward most block... but you can assign a specific fire point by simply pushing R when facing the desired block to fire from (this works per weapon group, doesn\'t currently work on missiles)

I did not know you could actually select a specific cannon block, awesome!
