    It would be good if head seeking missels won't be able to targed the crew of the shooting ship.

    Better idea- don't use heatseekers. They're bad.

    this has needed to happen for a long time i'm assuming with the upcoming crew update it will happen I highly doubt they will make one of their weapon systems completely useless at least i hope they won't.

    well, it should impact the hull of the ship and detonate on the shields before reaching the crew. But this also means that it will most likely hot armor if shields are down, and not systems.


    Which means I can then get rid of some of those docked decoy cores in the armor belts of my ships away from systems, and use crew instead.
    So really nothing has changed much.

    More like heat seekers shouldn't target astronauts at all. I mean, I seriously doubt that the players or NPCs emit enough thermal radiation to attract missiles xD

    I agree with this. Also why should lock on to the first thing they see. For example if you launch them vertically then they should target whats above you first before circling around and hitting something bellow you.
