    The Gravity Suit can be used for boarding.

    Its a suit that when aligned to something (with spacebar) will automatically create gravity for the user
    similar to a gravity unit, the suit when activated will get drained of power (which will recharge when not used)
    and will be completely empty in 6 minutes, just imagine jumping from one ship to the other, torch through the hull and take the ship over from within

    not sure why would you need grav. suit if you can already align and torch your way to the core,fight in corridors as normal,but I guess never say never

    This would be interesting if the player could maybe swap gravity every, say, three seconds to another direction if he/she wanted. Allowing him/her to bound off of walls when fighting inside ships. Having more agile players would give the missile launcher weapon (for astronauts) more use too!

    we already have grapple beam and align to ship,what we need is a personal shield so we don't get blown away by turrets (good thing the ai is such a crappy shot for now :))

    Not at all. This is something really being worked on. It's all concept at the moment (NASA, IBM, and MIT are in the process of working it out) but the idea is to use Gyroscopes at each joint in a suit to simulate gravity for astronauts.

    In terms of Starmade though.....Magnetic Boots would probably be easiest to implement like the Dead Space series.

    Maybe have them act like a mobile gravity unit where an Icon on the boots are set to a direction (in relation to the target ship) that ticks every so often to re-align the player that direction.
