God, I feel really stupid right now...

I feel stupid for asking this, but how does one place the ship core, or any block at all?

press "X" while in space to spawn ship core,then press "R" on the ship core to enter the ship,then press space to enter/exit build mode
..i mean,you have options in game,and you can see all there

Additionally Make sure you have the blocks (Such as a Core) in your inventory. Blocks are place with left click, removed with Right click on the mouse.
Might want to redo the tutorial (Can be reactivated on the settings page) or Watch the Tutorial videos from the front page. Might be Outdated as hell for half of the things in it, but its got all the basics.
