Glass blocks Vs Crystal armor

I see there is now a block called crystal armor. Is it better than just plain glass? And is glass weaker than normal armor? And if crystal armor is better than how expensive is it to use?

Yes crystal armor is superior to glass.

It has more armor and health. Glass is weaker than armor. It's a little more expensive, but that's negligible if you use it in small amounts. (i.e. only on the bridge) It also comes in many colors

Crystal armor is basically transparent Advanced Armor.

Glass is the same strength as basic Hull. Crystal Armor is the same strength as Advanced armor. There is no standard level of glass.
