Getting a server to build outside of homebase protection

    Another thought about protecting bases against "cloaker pokers": line the outer hull of the base with (weak, cheap) logic fired pulse weapons. A soon as the poker takes any damage they uncloak, ready to be wiped out by turrets.

    The pulses will serve secondary purpose as anti-infantry protection.

    EDIT: actually, surely they take damage from their own warheads when they ram? Doesn't this uncloak them long enough to be shot down?

    Dont you guys see how bad that part of the game currently is? Look at the extreme ideas that are needed just to deter griefers.

    Hopefully devs read the exploits of cloak warheaders

    I have a LOT of hope for the next round of updates. If/when Player factions get the same or similar automatic mining/defense of sectors that NPC factions have the resource scarcity that prevents expansion won't be as much of an issue. The real game starts when you stop worrying about blocks ;)

    To decloak someone by damage do you need to damage the blocks on the ship or just hit the ships shields to decloak them?
