So it is my understanding that the most efficient way to build generators is a single, super long stick. After that building a cross to encompass the most volume is the second most efficient way. My questions is, is there/what is the best way to arrange power tanks and shields?

Really helpful. Now one other question: can anyone remember and dig up an old thread where they tried to find the smallest \"reactor\" they could make that had 1,000,000 regen a sec?

Found this last week. The second to last post was the smallest as far as I can see.

it does not matter what you do or how you build it since the efficiency gets capped and you can build 10x10x10 blocks of gens at a time without having to worry that you are wasting power.

Everything else is best connected in one big bulk from my own experience. Especially power tanks - if you put them in different placeso n the ship as filler, make sure they connect together.

Actually i found out the best way to build power generation in which you can fill in gaps with shield generators

Here is the link to the video i made : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhF0DXrMcyk

Just remember don\'t worry about powertanks until the base power isn\'t enough. I\'ve seen people putting them on ships that get no benefit from having such a small number of them and their recharge is faster than their drain. Only two of my ships so far have needed powertanks to deal with the power per shot of my AMCs
