The alpha being free is a GREAT idea! The first beta release or so should still be free, And then it should slowly climb in price. Like 25 cents, 75 cents, One dollar, Two dollars, Etc. As the months and years go on, Slowly getting you more money, While still giving everyone enough time to really see how it is without spending a whole bunch of money on an unfinished game. I am really thinking about pre-ordering it the more I read and play. Please let us pay only once though!

Straight answer to that simply. It\'s not that you have pride in saying you bought the game early in delvelopment, it\'s the fact that, thattype of business plan is very bad for the devleopment process. If it starts out at an significantly low price like that then chances are a huge swarm of people will take advantage of it. Multitudes of copies will be bought, and possibly sold for large amounts of prices. When the game goes to full price, those who bought an entire load of copies can sell their keys for a better profit than what the company should have gotten.

If anything go ahead and pre-order it now, this will greatly help a two man team.

This team is much different from Notch who created Minecraft and promised us that those who bought Alpha would get Minecraft and anything hence forth within the boundries of that title for free. We can only hope?

Edit: Given at the time of Minecraft Alpha which was 10 or 15$ US, and beta was 15 or 20$ US, the price you pay right now is SIgnificantly cheaper compared MC.
