Hi,
There\'s lots of very different things called \"lag\" (graphics frame rate, networking latency, server processing/response times, etc). Note: For some reason (bad design?) for this game server processing/response time and network latency both effect frame rate far too often.
Currently; if you\'re flying a ship with a cockpit/camera in the front of the ship (no need for video card to draw the ship as everything is behind the camera), and someone else is flying a ship that doesn\'t have lots of intricate internal surfaces; and if the weapon systems in both ships aren\'t too silly (e.g. single-AMC rather than \"shotgun\"), then you can fight others in a 2 million block ships using \"average\" computers already.
As time passes, hardware will slowly get faster and the game\'s code will (hopefully) quickly get better; and you\'ll be able to do more (larger ships, more weapons, etc) without noticeable lag.
Also, as time passes, people will just want bigger and bigger ships. For example, if people can fight with 2 million block ships without any problem, then they\'ll want to fight with 10 million block ships.
