Hi, I am very new to this game, and I havn't even got to play it yet due to many different problems. First I had problems with my Intel graphiccard but now that is fixed, then it was Java and now that is fixed, I think. Anyway; now when I start the game and it loads up to 100% it just disappears. The game shuts down without any reason or warning.
Does someone know why?
Thanks.
to tell you more .. start and crash the game again
then go to your install folder for starmade and look for the logs folder ...
add the latest log.txt.0 and the grafcisinfo, txt here (just drag and drop the files.. i hope that works wiht txts)
rename the log file to .txt and append it like the graphcisinfo.txt (i realy dont know what can and cant be added as a file, but it should work that way)
are those the last lines in the logfile otherwise ?
your are using a Intel 4th Generation CPU ? ... in a Laptop? ... are you using the JDK for Java then or the JRE ?
1. How do I rename the logfile and append it? I might now how to rename though (I am not really a computer genious )
2. These are the last lines yes; since I couldn't use more than 1000 words in my post.
3. Yes I am using a intel 4th generation craphic CPU in a laptop, and I don't know what version of Java I use. I just downloaded Java from their website. I think I might be using JRE since I once got the message that I should download JDK; which I did but nothing changed and it doesn't say that I have JDK now.
usually ... right click the file ... choose rename ... then just remove the .0 part
then add it like you did with the grafcisinfo.txt ... that should work
i have to check in a few hours when back from work for driver version and what JDK dowload link maybe useful here.
please try to add the whole logfile and i will take a further look then
so .. a few points here
1. from the grafcisinfo file i can see that the driver version is NULL ... thats weird ... comparing it to my Intel GPU notebook which does show a version number there (something like 10.18.10.4061). so maybe the grafics driver installation went bad.
see if there is a newer driver maybe here Treiber und Software
or use the driver update tool from intel to check if there is a proper driver. Intel® Driver Update Utility
you may have to remove the current one first properly and then install a new one.
2. from the logfile
[2016-04-20 15:30:40] [LIBLOADER] OS ARCHITECTURE x86
[2016-04-20 15:30:42] [LIBLOADER] LOADED WINDOWS 32bit NATIVE LIBRARIES
[2016-04-20 15:30:42] [LIBLOADER] LOADED NATIVE LIBRARIES
this shows you are running the game in 32 bit java ... this should only be the case if you are using a 32bit OS (there is no real reason to do so nowadays especialy with the latest CPU´s)
if you are using a 64bit OS make sure you also have a 64 bit Java installed
if not ... get it here manually -> Java Downloads for All Operating Systems
choose windows offline 64bit and install that version
3. make sure the memory settings for the game are reasonable
if available something like 2048/1024/512 would do for now
4. i ask support if there is a known problem with the shader listed last in the logfile
[2016-04-20 15:33:33] [INIT][CLIENT][SHADER] Loading Shader: data//shader/transporter/transporter.vert.glsl; data//shader/transporter/transporter.frag.glsl
1. That was my first problem. I actually used Intel driver utility to install the latest version. Before that the game only crashed when I joined servers and singleplayer. It told me that I had to update my drivers which I couldn't so I uninstalled the intel driver I had and got their latest version.
2. I have 64-bit, I guess. I'll try to uninstall Java and install from the website you show, java 64-bit that will say.
3. I'll make them reasonable, thanks.
4. I do not know much of codes and such, but I do not know if there are any known problems with shaders though.
