I dont know if this was already suggested, but having a way to "paint a system" would make scouting easier
either for planets or resources and also for faction planning.

I guess OP means player sided highlighting a system on the galaxy map, like the highlighting for faction claimed systems.

that already in the game when you claim a territory it highlights your system on the map. you can also set it to highlight your allies territories as well.

He's asking that Bookmarking Nav points also leave a mark on the map, which is not in game.

Actually it has nothing to do with navigation bookmarks.

I just want the option to colour systems on the galaxy map .
