Two new blocks tied to the logic system.
All together, it works much like the Plex Doors do when remotely controlled. However, Force Fields drain power when used. The blocks are semi-transparent and give off light. They damage or slow the movement of creatures that touch them while they are on, and absorb energy weapons but not missiles or explosives or ballistic weapons.
First the Force Field Generator. This is the computer block that controls the field and turns them on or off. Each generator creates Force Field Blocks in a single direction according to it's orientation. If this block is destroyed all the Force Field blocks tied to it are also destroyed. Additionally, when the generator is destroyed it and all the force field blocks tied to it explode and damage the blocks surrounding it. This means that the shields protect, but are also potential bombs. Because they only emit force fields in a single direction, they always have a vulnerable side.
Second the Force Field Block. This is the semi-transparent block that acts like a glowing Plex Door. However it has only a single state. It damages creatures that touch it or slows their movement when they walk through it. It absorbs energy and laser projectiles but not explosives or missiles. It is not placeable by hand, but is instead created when a Force Field Generator is turned on.
---
Coding the generator may require a 'Force Field Generator Enhancer'. The generator, when turned ON, checks the block in front of it according to its orientation. If that location is empty it creates a Force Field block and checks the block at location +1. This repeats until it finds a location that is filled or it reaches the limits of it's range. For visual effect, they should turn off much faster than they turn on and not be instantaneous like a Plex Door.
