For those annoyed with the launcher not having an icon

I don't have a StarMade icon on the launcher and I don't know about anyone else but that slightly annoys me.

So here's how to get an icon:

1. Open paint/photoshop/whatever you use to rescale a picture, with the StarMade logo

2. There will be large black borders on the sides (If you stole the one above like I did) so you want to rescale and disclude those borders, I always prefer my icons square, not giant rectangles

3. Save as a .png file

4. Change the extension to .ico

(Or to skip all of the above download this 158x158 version of the StarMade logo in an ico file http://www.mediafire.com/?wg8c8d59otgpem8)

5. Right click StarMade (Or the shortcut if you start it that way) and click on properties

6. Click on change icon, and click browse, and browse to wherever you left the file



And done! Now your StarMade has an icon! Hurrah!

I actually was pretty annoyed that it didn\'t have an icon. I\'ve been playing it so much I put a shortcun on my taskbar.

For some reason there is no change Icon option when I open properties. Probably a windows 8 problem >.<

There is no change icon option for me either and I\'m using Windows XP. I think the reason is that it\'s an EXE and not a shortcut. So if you put the launcher somewhere other than your desktop (which means the game installation folder will have to be moved also) and create a shortcut to the EXE, you could probably change the icon of that shortcut.

I haven\'t tried it but it might work.
