This is a pretty simple addition/change that will expand the new activation modules a lot :D

EDIT: Just learned this is already a planned feature that will be added soon :D

    DESCRIPTION:

Activate "activation modules" through the flight mode's hotbar, just like a weapon or effect

    USES:
Fire multiple weapons at once :D

Activation modules can already activate weapons right now, and can fire more than one weapon at once.. if you could activate the activation module (which is connected to multiple weapons) in-flight, you could fire all your weapons at once, or maybe you have all your beams hooked up to one activator block and all your cannons hooked up to another, that way you can fire all your cannons at once, or all your beams ;)

NOTE: You cannot aim (focused) when firing weapons using activation modules though, as triggering will only activate it, which will just fire the weapons in the direction they are facing.. aiming will require you use the weapon manually..
Edit: Perhaps bobby AIs could be given a new function, the ability to be hooked up to a weapons computer to allow it to aim automatically?

    Indication lights
You can control your ships lights while you're in flight :D Maybe you want to turn all your lights off to sneak up on an enemy, or do you want to make your ship light up every time you fire a weapon? (if the weapon is also hooked up to the activation module).. Or perhaps you just want to light up where your weapons are as a warning that you packing some serious firepower xD

    Activate ship circuits :D

Got a cool circuit set up but don't want to walk/float all the way to the activator block itself? Well you can activate it while you're flying, or even in battle xD all you have to do is activate it in the hotbar and it will do whatever you wanted it to do when you set it up ;)

Remotely un-dock multiple turrets/ships at once

Is your ship a carrier with multiple smaller ships docked to yours? Perhaps you have some docked supplies that you can just drop off onto a planet for the players that want it :D or maybe you have heaps of disintergrater mines docked to your ship and you want to release them all at once to make a cluster-bomb mine field xD if you have docking systems hooked up to an activation module then all you have to do in flight is activate that one module and then every docking module that it was attached to will activate (and release the attached core)

    Activate "Bobby" AIs

Basically an "Auto-pilot" mode for your ship ;) , Activating/deactivating bobby AIs for docked turrets or ships is not possible as they aren't a part of your ship itself (they run on their own core..)

    Much more!

You can activate ANY activation module on your ship from in-flight, what ever you choose to use them for is up to you, im sure you could have some awesome ideas to test out and activate while you're flying ;)

I'd also like to be able to trigger activation block by docking beam :)
That might not be possible with this system as you have to aim with the beam to dock, and if you're only triggering the activation module, it will just fire the beam forwards because there is no aiming, for specific aiming it will need to be done normally..

He just said that it should be possible to activate it like opening and closing doors, not that it has to work with weapons.
