Features that revolve around mob/AI spawning

    The AI and mob spawning system have not improved too much during development, so perhaps it becomes time to add some more customizability to some features that revolve around the AI mobs to improve the whole game experience.


    Configurable pursuing distance:
    You get to configure in the server.cfg what the maximum distance between you and the AI ships has to be in order for them to stop following you around. I think this is currently set to one sector, but it's currently not configurable.


    Spawning chance per blueprint:
    Every blueprint will get an additional parameter/setting in the blueprint window that states their spawning chance. This way, large or special ships can be added that spawn less frequently, or you could make a certain weak fighter very common.

    The current method/workaround to do this is adding lots of duplicates of a certain ship to make them spawn more frequently, which is terribly messy.


    Minimum distance from spawn point for a blueprint to spawn:
    This will once again be per blueprint, the feature will make it possible for really large ships to spawn far from the spawn point, while keeping the smaller ships nearby. This will add a sense of progression in difficulty as you move further out, and will prevent instant punishment for people that are new to the game and generally stick around the spawning point.


    AI ship destruction reward proportional to ship mass:
    This would make it more rewarding to take down (possibly) harder foes. Could be a toggle in server.cfg.


    AI spawning limit per sector:
    This would ensure that no more than x ships can spawn in a certain sector. This feature could later be retooled to take in account a certain mob's difficulty. The reason why I am proposing this is because I've often ran into sectors that suddenly contain 15-20 pirate ships (after travelling through a dozen of sectors with absolutely nothing), which is silly to say the least. Configurable value in server.cfg.



    That's it for now, if those features ever get added then we as community can do the fine-tuning and tweaking to show their potential!

    One more suggestion- The ability to set specific Star Systems or sectors to be only allowed to spawn there/blacklisted for those ships to spawn in there.

    Sounds interesting as well, that way every sector will somehow feel a little bit more different which is good : )
