Basically, every time I exit the core I fall off. I know I entered the gravity, as when I look up I can see my ship falling away (up?) from me. This has happened on two ships and I've tried everything from cutting out the area under the core to building a net under my ship.

    Version: v.01421

    No mods or modifications.

Also, I keep trying to .zip the logs but it doesn't work. Any ideas why?

For this, the logs arent needed.

The Exitpoint on a core is right below it.
(Above may make more sense, but it is below.)

The area you spawn in, is selected by the first valid space for your pilot.
Depending on ship orientation this spot may be blocked or due to 45° upward facing too small, and you are spawned outside.

For me I create a 3x3x3 room right below the core, putting it in a "pillar" coming down from the ceiling.
To enforce spawning above the core, you should have at least 3 layers of blocks below the core and the 3x3x3 empty area directly above it.

I've actually managed to fix the issue by placing an empty space right in front of the core. I spawn there instead.

Yes, it is checking adjacent areas to find a suitable spot to spawn the pilot in.
Sometimes it needs some help by blocking areas to spawn you in the desired position.
