Would be useful if the site had the ability to create groups/factions and invite players, or open themselves to applications.
Upon joining the group the player gets the option to openly display faction in several areas, for example under the avatar or on their profile.
Could be also useful for looking up factions on the dock itself, a long with members, etc as well as openly identifying various faction members if they choose to.
Later this could also be expanded to the community content/shipyard feature, allowing faction content and the likes only accessible by those within the faction registry/group.
