Faction Designated ships

Assuming that facitons are going to grow, and more updates will come for them as well, on thing that would be cool is a way to have a map showing the positions of all ships under your banner.



I was thinking that if 2 fleets were going to fight, from some well fortified , a commander could tell the posistions and formations of all his ships on some over view map, kindof like the crappy one we have in the corner right now.

The map would need to be able to zoom in and out, and be able to navigate across many sectors.

Another thing that could be done with this is being able to tell enemy posistions, this would need a lot of limitations though. Maybe like Satalite station in every sector you want to cover.



(also plz update factions so recruits cant just join, grief everything, and leave)

If you need a station there it becomes useless... a small disintigrator ship, and boom...

Maybe every ship have a limited range of radar detection, base on the stats of the ship, OR add a new RADAR BLOCK, and all the ships from same faction can share their data.

So if you want to see your enemy, you can send a fast ship with powerful radar system to the front line from your fleet, and your capital ship can launch missiles at them and stuff.

That tiny ship gets killed, ruining any chance of success... also, that plan hinges on missles... only useful up close against big ships... so that plan was ruined from the start...

We are going to need good computers or a ton more updates trying to minimise lag until we can handle full-scale fleet battles.

The idea is good, but it cannot currently work how starmade is now.
