Right now there's no way to determine positioning besides navigation menu. Now what about a faction nav block (like a computer) that when entered, it shows onscreen, a map of all ally ships that also have a faction nav block. it would also show the faction tag and the pilot name besides each dot on the map. users of the faction nav block can also use their nav menu to select nav waypointers and ping them to all allied nav modules. only nav block operators would recieve the ping and the stationary point (of the time of th ping) would show up on their map for 10 seconds if it's in range. the point would not move, since it's a short ping.
fleet battle coordination would be much much better in this manner, and we'd see fewer people off on their own 1-person fleets.
