    Hello

    Anyone know how to allow access to factory modules to faction members without giving access to the whole station?
    Will the Permission module work if placed next to factory blocks?

    The permission module will allow access to every one, regardless of faction.
    Currently permissions are all or none. This is a known issue and there have been hundreds of requests for this to change and just as many suggestions on how to implement such changes. Eventually the devs will get around to a faction update.
    I know people have come up with several work-arounds, from docked sections to access code doors, but I'm not really familiar with the details.

    The easiest implemention would be to write player names which are white-listed into a display block and use that data.
    [ap=author's full name]
    [aN=faction's full name, N is the rank]
    [f=faction-name]
    [p=player-name]
    [s=string in the player-name]
    As long as the display block is locked to the author and the player-accounts password-protected, everything should be fine.

    As long as it is not implemented jet, give away passwords (annoying but useful).

    If you want to hide that data, rotate the block to face a wall or the inside. and have a docked public rail entity behind that airlock-door.

    Like others have told you faction members can open just about anything. A lot of work is needed in fleshing out faction control and giving more utility.

    What you can do to keep at least some stuff tucked away is to use Build Blocks. If a faction member is not high enough rank to make changes to the home-base he can not enter any Build Blocks, and since exiting a Build Block puts you above it you can use them to make "vertical officer only doors"

    If you are really concerned with keeping resources from them, you can dock a ship with a high rank as use it like a vault.
