is anyone else interested in this idea?

    • yes but with strong limitations making you have to make ships for and only for ewar *ideas?*

now that we have warpdrives i came up with some ideas on how to improve it among adding some other things

. jump jammers. able to stop people from warping into your sector or sectors near you. or capable of stopping people from warping away.

weapons jammer. can have some kind of ability like adding a cooldown to the weapons of the ship your hitting with it. or a weapons accuracy jammer that will cause your weapons to shoot away in a diffrent direction sorta like the shotgun effect but without causing to to shoot multiple shots.

ai hacking. somthing to allow you to hack anything with a bobby ai and cause it to fight for you for a time.

ship hacking. hacking that would allow you to take controll of someones ship/preventing it from moving for a cooldown.

sensor arrays. could allow you in sense ships in nav from a longer distance.

"firewalls". a block that hardens your ship from ewarfare

nanotube cloaker. a block thats mostley invisible but can still be seen when activated. and requires power to make your ship invisible with about 1/8th 1/6th amout of power reqirement of a cloaker

anti ewar stations. stations that can either reduce the effectivness or completley block th use of ewar in a sector or sectors though that a extremeley high reqirement for power and would have to be on stations.

"system purge". a block that when used would debuff you of all hacking effects.

ship locking. some kind of block somewhat like a faction block that would prevent other players from stealing your ship without destroying that ship lock.

I'm iffy about "fight for you for a time" While other games do have this mechanic, imagine you're flying a fighter or assault shuttle and your carrier's turrets suddenly go nuts. This type of hacking would be OP. Perhaps hacking could give you thruster control, but not weapon control. You pull an enemy into the firing line of another using that. That would be cool

    Weapons jammer: This sounds interesting.

Purge effect: Most e-war suggestions don't have this. They should. My proposed details are: ship shuts down for 3-5 seconds, no shield or power regen, no weapons or thrusters. Then the ship turns back on, with a chance to lose up to 30% power.

yeah the ai hacking has potental to be really overpowerd... but if you want to protect the drones you should use some kind of ewar hardening block

Viral effect: Offensive: has a chance to disable thrust, weapons, power or shield regen on a ship that it hits.
Defensive: reduces the chance of offensive viral being successful. On stations, extends a spherical field that protects allies from hacking attacks.
