ERROR: You need a Core Element to create a ship!

I seem to have a problem to which I cannot find a fix for.

I have made two ships with the build block (ship core), however I can't seem to be able to make a third ship using the same method (buying a block and placing it with X). After I put in a name for the ship, I get this message: ERROR: You need a Core Element to create a ship!

I have also tried placing it on a block of hull, but then it tells me there's not enough room.

Any suggestions? Has anyone else had this problem? Or is it just a restriction in the game that I don't know about?

Yeah dude i know the problem! the Build Block and the Ship Core are totally seperate blocks. a ship core allows you to build on your ship without accessing the ship core, and the ship core is needed to create and pilot your ship
