how do I fix this it told me to come to the forums but their is no error page?

Where did you get this error? A 401 error means that the webpage you're trying to connect to requires a valid User ID logged in in order to connect.

if he's getting it in the same place as me it's probably when he tries to up-link on the starter using his starmade registry login details.

edit: so according to "how to play starmade" uplinking requires our forum login details, but from what i can tell the only way to login through the forum now is to login through the citizen registry? so i assume it just hasn't been changed to reflect that yet?

edit2: Ok disregard the above, uplinking does work but the username field is case sensitive.(if that was the issue of the OP)
