Engines ruin dogfighting

    Being able to go backwards just as fast as going forwards makes space battles a huge chase, because 90% of the times the bigger ship with not so great turn rate just start kiting smaller ships by moving backwards and shooting at them same time. This kind of ruins the turning rate advantage of smaller volume ships.

    Yes, thats known. StarMade is in \"Alpha\" which means \"not yet feature-complete\" and Schema said he will start the gameplay fine-tuning once a kind of \"Beta status\" is reached (\"feature-complete\").
    (Still he does some minor tweaking now and then when he has some time between coding the \"big features\" like the galaxy map right now.)
    Until then enjoy one of the most playable Alpha-game.

    However the acceleration time based on mass to thrust probably could be adjusted

    I think it was already sad in different topic but this issue could be solved with thruster orientation.
    So most of the ships would have large back thruster and for other directions it will have small thruster for maneuvering.
