Great game. I am just listing this because I think it would add a new dynamic to the game. I am a newer player.. so ignore this if the whole purpose of the game is for just combat. However, this would add a purpose for combat as well..
Economy System-
Whole new list of items to buy and make for the sole purpose of sellling and buying.. (commodities)..
Price of the items would be based on supply and demand and be constantly changing... with in certain perameters. Some items could be like food, rare ores like gold, fuel, ..etc..
Would need to add a Cargo block. The cargo block would be added to ships to allow the shipment of these items. More Cargo blocks. the more you can ship.
Purpose of this:
1) reason for possible mobs on certain types of plants. The mobs could generate some of the commodities.
2) farming of mobs.
3) mobs could be islolated to certain types of planets..
4) would make players want to build bases and farms on all kinds of planet types.. and give another purpose for the bases.. to protect your shipping lanes..
5) players would want to build cargo ships.
6) escort and protection of cargo ship type missions..
7) tractor beam block and tranporting blocks would be more useful..
8) commodities could be made to make a different item for selling.. making factories even more useful.. i dunno..maybe food in to rations.. ..
9) make salvage cannons linked to cargo block.... maybe..
10) more purpose for taking over planets and bases. maybe this would promote a galactic conquest map..
