maybe when the ai factions are implemented, drone war arenas can be added for neutral factions.

-AI npc helps set you up easy, medium, and hard difficulties.
-AI opponent drone is randomly generated.
-reward system for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place winners

why drone war arenas? i think when AI factions are implemented they have their own systems, you can try to conquer. and maybe they expend aswell which forces you to defend your systems.

I agree, the drone wars can be a way to compete with allied factions. I don't have it all figured out but I just think it would be cool to spectate big drone battles.

maybe shine will add bonus sectors with special AI factories which give bonusses to the controling faction that way you can encounter very big fights for objectives. who knows

Why does Schine have to do this? I see no reason that this can't be set up by players. The only things that we would need from Schine is some sort of 'duel' mode so you don't have to turn your entire faction hostile to compete.
