Downloaded sments from the community content has a random name, this makes importing them somewhat difficult.

Seeing how searching for eg. 30426_ab785ec9f712b0c510065e5d23cd770d.sment doesn't return any results (well this specific one does now, but not in the content section...), it would be great if the download file names were constructed from a time stamp when the item was last updated, the author's name, and the title and version as specified by the author, such that at a later date when you browse your download archive, you know what you're looking at and could check for updates.

That said, it isn't too difficult to give the file a meaningful name yourself when you're about to save it to your disk.
At any rate, it would be a very welcome convenience feature.

Naming is broken, the "random" names are simply the ids. They are displayed this way to temporarily prevent an issue with the CC module, this is linked to the broken download links.

How it used to be, was the download file was whatever you uploaded it as.

As soon as we fix the issue with the downloads, the names will be reverted back.

Good thing I zip file my works, it only affects the top most file so any files within it as is the case with a zip file are unaffected.

Well, you could always name the downloaded file as something else than the "random number string" it downloads as. My browser settings are configured to always ask where to save downloaded files, so I can do it before the download process actually starts.
