i think there is nothing wrong withe the docking nodes and enhancers. the way there are is allright. BUT the problem is the ship core!!! we need one block more, just one. that block shut called docking beam controll or cockpit etc.. that block needs to work like a SD-Cockpit just that the beam comes from there . so for example u wanna dock side wise. set the block somewhere on the outside hull of ur ship fly ur ship in position until ur docking beam cockpit faces the docking node aktivate the beam and bam ur docked like u wanna be. on this way u can dock any ship of any size easely, even in hangar whre u have just 2 blocks on each side, cause u can fly straight over the node and klcik without parking squer in tha hanger knocking against every thing just do face the dam small docking node. i think that is easy made and the puplisher can face bigger problems. :D

The dev release already fires the docking beam out of the cockpid.

The dev release already has docking modules like wedges (6 directions and 6 dock-directions each = 36 different setups)

The problem is that you can either allow over-extended turrets and a partially obstructed dock area or not allow both.

We only want to allow partially obstucted dock area. We don\'t want this ugly box while in build mode (thus we suggested weight), we want to know how much we have to extend the docking box for our stuff and do not want wedges to block docking.

You make things on one server and it works fine, after spawning on another server all turrets undock and cause a huge LAG.

And with cockpids - they have issues too. If you switch to the cockpid pointing behind your ship, your ship starts turning 180° and Pitch/Yaw controls are inverted.

If you have too many (even 6 are many), you don\'t know where you are looking at - there is no indication beside surroundings (which is very bad if you start turning 180° in the cockpid facing backwards)

These issues have to get solved first.
