Docking orientation

I was wondering if Docking orientation could be a feature? Basicly you would press R on a docking, or turret docking block, and you could tell it what way the ship faces when docked.

This would allow turrets to be able to face up, or turn in a bowl like fashion, inableing socket like wall turrets.
