Docking DAMN HUGE objects

Hey Community!

I have a question about the docking stuff. The screenshot you see below is one of four arms of a planned space station in the style of the Mass Effect "Citadel" which i have posted, too (Four arms instead of five... four-sided-blocky-universe-problem-thingy ).

As you can see from the first shot, the core block is on top of the connection part of the arm so I could dock it to the central ring - if the game would let me. :\

Is there any possible way of building a ring with four docking areas big enough to add four of those arms? Any config file entry, maybe on server side (is accessible for me) to disable area restrictions? Something?



Would be great if we could finish that giant station. Maybe I'll put it on a public server when it's done.

Well you can dock huge objects with enough docking enhancers.

The issue you may find is laying out the enhancers in a pattern to fit with your planned build. My experience so far is control over the docking area is positive as it all makes logical sense once placed.

I will have ever warn you that the dock will always default to the bottom of you ship so you need to plan the build accordingly - here is a vid for docking a ship on its side http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BLF81nrorU

Hey - that didn\'t work at all.. seems like the Docking Area box has some limitations...
