I'm currently in the early stages of plotting and building a station with an intent to house plenty of public facilities. One of these would be public parking.
The thought came up that with all the various things now possible with logic (especially through all that regex magic and display blocks):
Would it be possible to have a "parking meter" that displays time an entity has been docked to a specific rail?
...and to further that:
If so, is it then also possible to automate some kind of auto undock / purge of said entity via that same logic (or additional blocks etc)?
Obviously, we'd be looking at a day or two minimum parking time, so delay blocks are entirely OUT (unless some clever sod has a method of making a small clock and using regex / displays keeps a turnover count). While I'm not entirely a "noob" to logic, its hardly my main strength in game, so please be clear in your answers, thankyou!
LORDS OF LOGIC I BEG FOR YOUR WISDOOOOOM!
*sacrifices a doombrick
Edit: I figured this could also be used for other things, such as a self destruct countdown, or merely to countdown until launch for a shuttle.
